Succession Planning Doesn't Have to be Scary

Are you going to go to a corn maze one night this fall?  It’s a great warm up for Halloween – dark corners, deep shadows, an uncertain path, your flashlight flickers on and off, and sometimes things jump out unexpectedly to make your shriek!  Follow it up with a little hot cider to make it a perfect night.

I’m going to suggest that if you don’t plan for leadership succession at your nonprofit, you’re going to end up in a scenario similar to a corn maze – but decidedly less fun.  Take a look at some of the twists and turns:
